Sounds like you had the right classes with the wrong skills.

But have you ever noticed, that the only thing that really makes a boss a boss is that it can heal in some way? That's pretty much it. Universal monk powers unite.

Blah.

Energy Drain, Power Leak. Is it THAT hard to kill a monk boss? Once he's down on energy - and he'll be after the 21 power leak, the 18 energy drain - he's just a low-armor grawl.

Domination is not the only mesmer attribute.

The flames here are kinda funny considering that I already took back everything I said. Too bad the forums admins won't just delete this damn thread.

Actually it was more like the right classes but some of them were freaking retards (our healer afk'ed in the middle of the fight).

For the record, I got a Ranger with me last night and we owned the guy with nothing more than Concussion shot. So no, he wasn't that hard.

To the people who actually gave me advice, despite my stupid rant: Thank you.
To the people who flamed me: I deserved that anyway.

You have to respect a person that will admit to a mistake.
How many others would have the courage to do that?

I wish all the people posting "i beat him with a feather" would shut up!

This guy is HARD. We got him down to 1hp for about 5 minutes! We coulnd't get that last point. Nothing worked.

Now I know an enchant remover ie:Rend/Linger would have worked. But I wasnt skilled out for that. I NEVER use Enchant Debuffs in PvE. They are sooooooooo rarely necessary.

That was the problem. They added a boss that needed a different skill set to beat. That's fine. But either add MORE bosses like this to make a enchant remover skill set worthwhile, or don't add them at all.

I'm not going to waste one or more slots on the off chance they could be used.

Yes, they seem to be having alot of fun with this today. I'm wondering why this was never moved to the Sanitarium.

Maybe you ought to consider enchant removal/ aggravation when you go into a zone with some enchant heavy guys... Like, for example the smiter shadows?

Out of 8 characters, when you know you're going to face those kind of smiters, why not packing a couple of unenchant?

For this mission you might *GASP!* have to organize your team build... at least a little bit. It's not that hard. Seriously...

I agree here.
I find it very odd that people keep saying the same over and over again.
I was one of the flamers, and when i posted my rant there were already 2 dozen "Skill X will kill him" replies.
After several days and 4 sites it seems there are still many people that only read the first post, and dont care about the development of the thread.

I think the original topic is covered... so people would you please read the whole thread, and then flame the stuff that accummulated in the meanwhile?!
